Neil van der Linden curates music, theatre and visual arts projects related to the Middle-East and North-Africa in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, the Gulf states, Pakistan, Hong Kong and the Netherlands. He worked as music advisor with Paradiso Amsterdam, the Holland Festival and the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Beiteddine Festival Lebanon and the Medina Theatre Beirut, the Festival of Sacred Music in Fes Morocco, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Abu Dhabi Book Fair, the New York University Abu Dhabi, the Hong Kong Municipality Festival and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. He contributed chapters on Iraq and Egypt to the Rough Guide to World Music.

He founded and co-edits the online Gulf Art Guide and the Amsterdam Medina site on activities in and from the Middle-East in Amsterdam.
