Now in his late 80s, American multi-instrumentalist and folk legend Tom Paley began his career performing alongside the likes of Woody Guthrie and Lead Belly. Joined here by his fiddle-playing son Ben on a set of blues and folk standards, he sings croakily but with great warmth, conjuring up some old-time magic that delights from start to finish.
