Now in his late 70s, the Pakistani singer Ustad Saami did not release his first album until 2019 but has swiftly made up for lost time with this, his second album. After years of training in the devotional style known as surti, he’s now the genre’s supreme maestro and his vocal lines soar weightlessly over the instrumental accompaniment of his four sons.
