Ebo Krdum
Diversity on Supertraditional
Ebo Krdum grew up in a village in the Darfur region of Sudan but is now resident in Sweden. A fine guitarist, his debut album finds him singing in eight languages about unity, justice, activism and the fight for peace. There are traces of Arabic music, reggae and Scandinavian folk, but perhaps his biggest influence is the mighty African blues of Ali Farka Touré. A Top of the World in the Jan/Feb 2022 issue (#174).
