The trio of Rowan Rheingans, Hazel Askew and Hannah James are renowned for their standout harmony singing and superlative yet subtle instrumentation. Tender features three excellent cover versions (of Tracy Chapman, Björk and Lal Waterson), but largely it’s the self-penned songs that manage to be both highly personal and political, all delivered with a gorgeously gentle lyricism.
