This stunning music video comes from Yassine Kodssi, an emerging Moroccan artist in the Gnawa tradition, whose debut EP is out now on RNT Records.

On 'Mberika', Kodssi's vocals and gimbri (three-stinged lute) are joined by a string quartet, creating a poetic and a wistful love song to the Gnawa people. The video was shot amid the breathtaking landscapes of the deserts east of Marrakech. 

Following in the footsteps set by his father, Abdeljalil Kodssi, who was renowned for pushing the boundaries of the Gnawa tradition, Yassine Kodssi is set to make his own mark, with his debut album coming out later this year.
