Following the Grammy-nominated success of Capacity to Love, his star-studded full-length from 2023 which featured everyone from Cimafunk and De La Soul to Gregory Porter and actress Sharon Stone, horn maestro Ibrahim Maalouf reveals a first tantalising taster of his forthcoming album, Trumpets of Michel-Ange, due for release this autumn.

Buoyed by an instantly infectious joie de vivre, lead single ‘Fly With Me’ is a lithe celebration of love and unity, an exuberant soul-stirrer cum hip-shaker, with Maalouf’s lyrical lines, suffused with echoes of Arabic melodies and Miles Davis' poetic expressionism, coasting on rhythms drawn from oriental, jazz and Latin American traditions, with some lively diversions into incendiary single-note axe shredding boosting the joyous pan-cultural fusion.
