Musicport Festival needs you!
Musicport Festival is in search for volunteers for its 2018 instalment, taking place October 19-21 at Whitby Pavilion, Whitby.
Now in its 19th year, Musicport continues to transform Whitby Pavilion into a wonderful intimate venue. They pride themselves on the fact that the artists are close enough to touch, but please don’t. The line-up this year includes #140 cover star Dobet Gnahoré, Songlines contributor Merlyn Driver, Songlines Music Awards Best Artist nominee Vieux Farka Touré and recently featured Baka Beyond – it’s a Songlines reunion!
Musicport is famed for its friendly and helpful stewards, and it’s no wonder. Volunteers are required to work for only 12 hours during the weekend and are able to enjoy the rest of the festival as they please – for free!
A perfect (and very cheap) way to see out the festival season, why not donate some of your time and get a free ticket to this fabulous festival, with an amazing line-up, dedicated to world music.
