Oud-player extraordinaire Attab Haddad and his crack ensemble perform on June 25 as part of the Summer Sessions at Grand Junction. They present Flamenco Arabe, a work which weaves together story-like compositions infused with flavours drawn from the breadth of the Sahara to the bewitching geometrics of the Alhambra Palace in Granada, as well contemporary jazz and classical.

Marking the occasion is this video (see below) of Haddad performing 'After The Storm' within the atmospheric setting of the neo-gothic church venue.

This new hub for community, arts and cultural projects, based at St Mary Magdalene in Paddington, London will also host several other world-music concerts during its summer season, with dates from The Scorpios (June 24), Electric Jalaba (July 1), The Young’uns (July 3), Eliza Carthy Trio, with Saul Rose and David Delarre (July 16) and Afriquoi (July 31).
