Songlines Music Awards 2022 Nominations Announced
Nominees for this year’s Songlines Music Awards have been revealed. Catch up with all the contenders vying in each of the seven categories with our specially curated playlist
The best of the best duke it out in seven separate classifications at this year's Songlines Music Awards, each in the hope of landing a prestigious gong. Nominees in the geographical categories – Africa & Middle East, Americas, Europe, Asia & Pacific and Fusion – were selected by our crack team of international contributors, while the Best Artist and Best Group nominees were voted for by you, our readers. To be considered for selection an album had to have been reviewed during the past year, from March 2021 (#165) to January/February 2022 (#174). The winners in all of these categories will be announced in the June 2022 issue (#178, on sale May 13), while the Newcomer and World Pioneer award recipients will be announced later in the year.
