Brutally direct and brimming with bile, 'Colonizer' and its accompanying video, directed by Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis, distil 500 years of settler, church and governmental wrongdoing into four accusatory words: 'Oh you're guilty. Colonizer.' The militant mantra now forms a scathing response to recent reports of more unmarked graves on the grounds of a former residential school in British Columbia.

"Everyone is responsible for the system that is in place right now," says Tagaq. "Those who benefit from the genocide of Indigenous people are still guilty."
