A mutually inspired quest for excellence pervades AccompliceTwo. The much-anticipated follow-up to 2018's Accomplice One features Australian guitar wizard Tommy Emmanuel performing with a succession of formidable accomplices including Molly Tuttle, Jerry Douglas, Jorma Kaukonen, Michael McDonald, David Grisman and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. A video of Emmanuel and Tuttle performing Townes Van Zandt's classic ‘White Freight Liner Blues’ captures the exuberant energy and breathtaking virtuosity on display across its 16 tracks. Emmanuel's remarkable ability to mine the essence of just about any genre shines on ‘Mombasa’, featuring Yasmin Williams, which resonates with the spirit of traditional Kenyan folk music. On ‘Cajun Girl’, Little Feat sets a swampy southern-rock groove over which Emmanuel soars, emulating Duane Allman of the legendary Allman Brothers Band. ‘Doc's Guitar / Black Mountain Rag’ showcases Emmanuel and fellow fingerpicker extraordinaire Billy Strings trading bluegrass riffs at a breakneck pace. Emmanuel and The Del McCoury Band infuse ‘Sweet Temptation’ with irresistible country charm. And the list goes on, concluding with a slow, deeply sweet version of Sam Cooke's ‘Far Away Places’ sung by The Mavericks’ Raul Malo.
