Sardinian actress, singer and songwriter Bissiri works in Spain and this is her solo debut after releasing a couple of albums with the experimental band Dinatatak. Her artistic career is long and rich, including opera and jazz singing, street performance and improvisation with collaborations all over Europe. Her songs are poetic sketches of daily life, original lyrics sung in Italian and Spanish over a background of guitar, bass and drums, as well as natural and urban sounds and electronics.

But the voice is the focus here. It is natural and lively to the point of being rough on the edges. While there are few direct connections with the traditional styles of her original and adopted countries, these songs present a strong artistic personality in contemporary singing and songwriting.
