Enrique Roberto Tellería was a wild non-conformist in 1960s Peru which sought to sanitise foreign youth music. His rare debut dresses up British hits like ‘Paint It Black’ and lesser-known American songbook fare with self-penned lyrics and beat-band backing from Los Steivos… with sometimes excruciating results.
